Prenatal Strength & Birth Prep

In prenatal strength and birth prep, we will practice poses and exercises that are safe and beneficial for the pregnant body. We’ll work together to create more space and mobility in the upper body, and strength and stability in the lower body. Special attention will be given to keeping your core and pelvic floor functional, reflexive, and strong. We’ll work on strengthening muscles for a more aligned body, which will not only make your pregnancy more comfortable, but will also set the stage for an easier labor and postpartum period. In class, we’ll set aside time to practice breathing, relaxation, and visualization as strategies for coping with the intensity of labor. Instructor, Kim Wheaton, will be available to answer any questions you may have about your pregnancy and your upcoming birth!
