Youth Basketball League
Program Information
A Youth Basketball League is a great program for girls and boys ages 4Yr-8th grade. The program is designed to enhance the Youth Basketball experience for kids of all skill levels. We aim to develop a lifelong passion for the game of basketball by teaching boys and girls the fundamentals of the sport while instilling core values including teamwork, respect, and sportsmanship.
YMCA utilizes volunteer coaches to focus on participation and fun! While basic skills of the game are developed through practices and games, every child learns sportsmanship and values necessary to be successful in life.
Grades 3rd-8th, will be competing against Dekalb Park District and YMCA teams. The schedule will reflect games at 2 locations (YMCA and Dekalb Park District) with practices at the YMCA.
All participants will receive a YMCA T-shirt with registration.

4Yr. - Kindergarten: Wed. 5:00 - 5:45 p.m.
1st - 2nd Grades: Wed. 5:45 - 6:45 p.m.
3rd - 5th Grades: Wed. 6:45 - 7:45 p.m.
6th - 8th Grades: Wed. 7:45 - 8:45 p.m.
Games
Saturday Mornings 9:00-12:00pm (@ YMCA)
Saturday Afternoons 12:00-3:00pm (@ Dekalb Park District only for 3rd-8th Grades)
*Grades 3–8 will alternate game locations between the YMCA and the DeKalb Park District throughout the season.
