Youth & Teen Strength & Fitness Orientation
12 to 14 yrs
The Teen Strength Certification program is designed to introduce teenagers to basic strength training and carido equipment. This program will focus on exercise safety and injury prevention. Upon successful completion of this program, participants will be certified to use the Wellness Center.
Age: 12-15 years
Fee: Free for YMCA members
Group appointments are available the following days and times:
• Wednesday 10:00am-10:45am
• Thursday 6:00pm-6:45pm
• Saturday 11:00am-11:45am
These time slots are intended to be for small groups and will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis (no appointment necessary). Please arrive at the entrance of our Wellness Center at the beginning of the times listed above.
Youth Programs and Classes
Building Strong Kids (Ages 10-14)
For children ages 10-14 who want to start a healthier lifestyle and have fun! Includes active games, strength training and conditioning. Not only will kids get healthy but they’ll build confidence. They will learn proper exercise techniques while having fun with other kids. This class will meet at the Front Desk at 5:30pm
